MECALUX, a world leader in the storage systems market, has expanded and remodelled the showroom at its headquarters in Cornellà de Llobregat (Barcelona). Now with 2,500m², customers can view life-size versions of the storage products and services the company carries.
According to MECALUX Vice-President Javier Carrillo, "we have doubled the surface area of the facility in order to show off in a single space the entire range of storage and filing solutions we can offer our customers".
Over 30 different warehousing solutions have been installed in the showroom, both for conventional logistics areas and automated warehouses. Customers can get an up-close look at lightweight shelving (for boxes or loose packages), heavy-duty racking (pallets), structures for mezzanines or clad-rack warehouses, Pallet Shuttles, mobile bases, vertical warehouses, light or heavy-duty transport systems, lifts and stacker cranes for boxes or pallets, etc.
There also is the opportunity to learn on site how EasyWMS® software operates, a management tool that can optimize warehouse logistics and efficiency. Entirely developed by MECALUX, the program allows users to completely control warehouse operations: stock locations, operator production, and real-time order tracking. In this way companies can speed up delivery timelines and maximize their physical and human resources.
Mecalux 5
What is more, the company has constructed an area called Mecalux 5 devoted to the latest technological advances under development at its R+D+i department. Specifically, computer simulations display the newest products currently being researched by MECALUX, ones the company shall be carrying over the next five years.
A large auditorium
The showroom also features a 190m² auditorium to host business meetings and training seminars. The facility, with space for a 100 people, is equipped with the latest audiovisual technology.
The MECALUX showroom likewise has several rooms set aside for company meetings or employee training sessions and to host students coming from technical centres that specialize in engineering, computers, and logistics.
The ‘showroom' on the web
MECALUX is also updating its web page (https://www.mecalux.es/) in order to include all the information about the new showroom. The site features general and detailed videos regarding all the products on display there, plus there will be a virtual tour available through an interactive 3D program.
